Ashley and Logan~*~

Someday I wonder if Ashley & Logan will be as close as some twins, especially since they are girl/boy twins and their brother Jake is just 15 month older. Logan tends to hang around with Jake alot and sometime Ashley being the only girl in the house with 3 brothers is the one left out. It is hard to find someone to play barbies with you when you have 3 brothers the thought of dressing a naked barbie can send them

but then I come across pictures like these and know that bond is there and hopefully always will be!

We have a reader in our house~

It is not enough to simply teach children to read;
we have to give them something worth reading.
Something that will stretch their imaginations-
something that will help them make sense of their own lives
and encourage them to reach out toward people
whose lives are quite different from their own.
~ Katherine Paterson

Ashley loves to read!! She will curl up in bed or in the recliner and just read and read until she finishes her new chapter books. Right now her favorite books are the Junie B Jones series. I hope her love of reading continues through out her life.

Time to light a FIRE~

It is finally getting cold enough here to light a fire, last winter we burned a lot in the wood stove but this year it has been so unseasonably warm that we haven't had the chance to burn much.

My oldest son argured with me this morning that he is going to school in basketball shorts he has worn basketball shorts to school since it started in September, finally today I put my foot down and said it is freezing outside you are going to school in jeans! Well I finally won the battle and he went in jean

BUT TOMMOROW......

will start another BATTLE of the strong willed teenage son and the Mom who doesn't want his legs to freeze!!!

Football~*~

Today was the big football game, the Patriots against the Chargers! Jake's favorite team is the Chargers and of course being from New England we love the Patriots! So unfortunately it was brother against brother watching this game. Each brother made a sign for their favorite team! They watched T.V. in the kitchen so they could snack during the game (Mom does not allow snacking in the living room)
Our Patriots pulled through 24-21, but that did leave a very sad Jake and a little brother who couldn't stop teasing about how his team won!!

Skateboarding~*~

    My Jake

Jake has had a love of skateboarding since he got his first real skateboard from Chris and Stephen at age 6, see they broke his little $9.99 skateboard and felt so bad about it! We told them not to worry about it but they went out and bought him a very expensive skateboard from their favorite skate board shop "Theory" which by the way is now Jake's favorite skateboard shop he is now on his 3rd skateboard and for Christmas he got a new skateboard deck from his Babci (polish for grandma) for when his old one gives out. Which you can tell he is mad over by his crazy face, he was dying for a plan B skateboard!!

Last Christmas Santa brought him this, my heart still JUMPS each and everytime he goes on it!

Well the two boys who started Jake's love of skateboarding, my closest girlfriend Shellie's two boys who are like nephews to me, cousins to the kids and who Jake looks up to so much! For being teenagers they have so much patience with the younger ones they are two great kids!! They Made a video of skateboarding with their friends. SO Check it out!
I will let you know I don't like the end with the airsoft guns but you know teenage boys they are crazy and don't always use their brains especially with friends!!!

Family Game Night~*~

Family Game Night

Brought to you by Hasbro Games.

What is Family Game Night?

Mix together kids and parents, take the phone off the hook, turn off the TV, bring out a board game and what do you have? An evening of fun, learning and laughter that brings all of you closer together. Sound good? Then maybe you should be planning your own Family Game Night.

Family Game Night is a way to spend quality time together and create a family tradition that you and your kids will remember and cherish for years to come. Here's a fun recipe on how to maximize the time you have together:

1. Mark your calendar one night each week to spend uninterrupted time with your kids.
2. Eat dinner together, clear the dinner dishes, and clean off the table.
3. Resist falling into the same routine and get your family excited by pulling out your family's favorite board game.
4. Put a bowl of snacks on the table.
5. Let the games begin with these tips:

What will Family Game Night do for us?

Good question. It will:

Give you quality fun time with your children
Give you an opportunity to share a laugh together
Help you foster a positive family-child relationship

Alright if this is what Family game night is about....

Why does family game night turn out to be a nightmare in our family!!
We can play board games but only if it is Mom or Dad and one or two kids, the minute the 6 of us sit down to play a family board game together the bickering begins with the kids and usually continues till some one stomps off crying!

Who will wash the windows.....I Will Logan says, The other 3 say Not Me!
Who will take the trash out.....I Will Logan says, The other 3 say Not Me!

Do you have a Little Red Hen in your house?

~*~A New Box of Crayons~*~

Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.
Author:Pablo Picasso

I love this quote!! I think every now and then we should all sit down with a new box of crayons and a blank sheet of paper and remember what it feels like to draw again.....

A look back at "2006"

~*~Here are just some of the memorable moments of 2006~*~

1. Tyler was chosen to be the quarterback for his football team the Pop Warner Braves and his football team made it to the playoffs this year! He wore the number 12 jersey.
2. Logan is playing basketball with the 9-10 division a big accomplishment for a 7 year old and is doing a great job against all the 9 and 10 year olds!

3. Ashley joined the Girl scouts and had her picture taken for the local paper while singing Christmas Carols on the steps of our City Hall. So we now have a Movie Star living among us!

4. Jake made his first Communion and he looked so handsome.

Our family had so many wonderful moments and we hope to create many new ones in the New Year!

New Year's Eve~

Every New Year's Eve we throw a small get together for family and close friends to get together and ring in the New Year. The kids always look forward to it, it is the one night they get to stay up as late as the adults. I planned on taking many more photos of the night but my camera batteries died and I didn't have any more available! I think the chocolate fountain I got this Christmas was a hit with the kids even though it was a little messy!
